Are you ready to use holiday promotions to help grow your business? If so, here are the upcoming calendar dates for 2014 that should be part of your planning. Create promotions or emails that help you get more bang for your event by tying your promotional efforts into already established sale or holiday hash tag events. Remember that if you follow a hash tag or retweet a post, you are inviting the audience for that conversation to join you with your offer or promotion identified by the hashtag that accompanies it. Use this list and add to it any industry events that you may feel work for your company. Brainstorm with your team the type of promotion you are using to encourage your followers and email contacts to share this promotion with their social media followers. Don’t forget to Email to your contacts to let them know about your promotion & events. And don’t forget to turn on the social share bar when you send your eblast so they can click on their social media accounts and spread the word with the click of a mouse. And add a deadline on your offers to get a better result. Remember that a 1 day sale performs better than a 1 week sale because it is more urgent and those emails get read more often.
