Inserting a Forward to a Friend Button on your email with Constant Contact

If you want to spread the word about your products or services, one great way to add to your email marketing list is to add the Forward to a Friend button on your email. Constant Contact will show you when someone has forwarded your email in your reports and you will have the option of adding that person to your list in the future. Hopefully that person will also see your Sign up for our Email and respond if they like what you wrote. In addition the reporting feature teaches you what impresses your readers when a recipient of your emails forwards it to one of their friends as a relevant article or content.

To add the ”Forward to a Friend” button, Constant Contact gives you some art choices in addition to just using the words “Forward to a Friend”. Simply follow the steps below:

1.  In your email newsletter set up, select “Edit Block” (any block where you want the art to show up).
2. Select the option of “Forward to a friend” from the block options menu on the left-hand side.
3. Make sure you have the radio button selected for images. If not, select it
4. Using the pull-down options select an art piece of your choice (Constant Contact provides you with several combinations of text, icons and colors.)
5. Click Save when you are done.
6. Don’t forget to test send this to yourself or someone at your location to test the link and ensure it works then have them forward to a friend and check your report.
