8 Tips To Boost Your Marketing Results!

8 Tips To Boost Your Marketing Results!

With the first and second quarter of 2023 almost over, consider some tips on how to maximize your 2nd quarter marketing plan results.

  1. Review your past customer sales information and identify the last time those customers have returned or connected with your company. During downturns, it’s past customers who can propel your sales by making repeat purchases or upgrading their service. If customers are dropping off, it is time to regroup and find out why. Send out a private offer or special thank you to loyal customers.
  2. Take time to identify and analyze your new customers. One of the first signs that business is slowing is when the number of monthly new customers slows or stops. Are your marketing efforts reaching out to  new customers or expanding reach to a new market? Consider doing a lookalike campaign to find more customers like those you love.
  3. Are your past or new customers on the move? There have been a lot of changes in demographics from people moving both into and out of your neighborhood. Are you able to sell to contacts out of your area?  If so, make sure you are adding contacts and updating their information so you can reach them wherever they reside. Offer no charge shipping and door to door service when you can.
  4. When was the last time you reviewed your media budget and the results you are receiving from your ads? What are your best performing media choices? What are your least successful media investments?  Just like your financial planning, Advertising is an investment that needs to be reviewed and updated.
  5. Has your reputation kept up? Check into online reviews and conduct surveys  for both new and past customers. Make sure you address any concerns and seek any opportunity to offer a service or product they suggest—well before another company beats you to it.
  6. If you are doing online advertising, analytics from those platforms need to be compared to those from your website and your sales tools.  If you cannot attach any sales to a platform that you are using, it is time to consider putting your advertising elsewhere to improve your ROI.
  7. Check to see how your product or service pricing measures up to your competition. Many competitors are lowering prices or bundling their goods to look more cost-effective. Conduct comparison shopping to be sure your company is competitive and update your sales team to be aware of those changes and how to compete.
  8. Add social selling to your marketing efforts. Companies that link their sales team to their social media marketing efforts deliver more sales than companies that do not. Add chatbots or messaging and post your FAQ’s to help connections get answers to their questions quickly using the platforms they prefer.
